We are pleased to welcome Joy to WaverleyGP. She is consulting from 370 Blackburn Rd Glen Waverley and offering general practice care.
Dr Joy grew up in New Zealand and graduated from the University of New South Wales. She speaks fluent Mandarin.
She enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has additional post graduate certificates in paediatrics, mental health, sexual health, and travel medicine. She has previously worked as an honorary GP for a headspace centre under Alfred Health, where she loved providing holistic care to youths in a team environment.
She currently holds a position in a sexual health clinic supported by Melbourne Sexual Health Centre.
Outside of clinical practice, Joy enjoys teaching. She was a medical educator for doctors undergoing GP training, and currently teaches medical students from Monash University. She is also involved with the University of Melbourne’s Safer Families Centre of Research Excellence, where she provides training to GP practices nationally to become more trauma-informed in supporting patients experiencing family violence.
