Waverley GP and Waverley Consulting Suites  is an accredited practice that was established in May of 2010. The doctors, allied practitioners and pathology group are committed to providing the highest standard of medical care in a friendly and courteous setting.

The Independent Tenant  Practitioners have chosen to conduct their private medical practice at WaverleyGP and Waverley Consulting Suites and stipulate their own hours of work, fees, leave and conditions of service.

Dr Ina Takkar offers her services at WaverleyGP and has a special interest in women’s health, child health and weight management.  She speaks fluent Hindi and Punjabi. She enjoys reading and music. She has two grown up children and enjoys family time and exploring new places.

DR. JUDITH RISELEY

Dr Judith Riseley studied medicine at Monash University. She has felt privileged to provide quality medical care to families in Waverley for over 20 years. She is interested in all aspects of general practice and has additional training in the diagnosis and management of skin cancer. Her other passions are her family – both human and animal and literature. She offers her services at WaverleyGP – Bookings can be made online or calling the clinic.

DR. PRAMITA BANERJEE

Dr Pramita Banerjee was born in India and has lived in Australia since the age of three months. She graduated from Monash University in 1994 and has been working in General Practice in Glen Waverley since 2000. Pramita has completed a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has done further training in Skin Cancer Management. She enjoys all the varied aspects of General Practice and can offer her services at WaverleyGP. In her spare time she loves to read and dabbles in photography. She is married with two sons.

DR. PIPPA MARSLAND - ON LONG SERVICE LEAVE

Dr Pippa Marsland graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1988.She has been offering her specialist General Practice service in Glen Waverley since 1996. Pippa has completed a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a Family Planning Certificate. She is interested in all aspects of general practice/ family medicine, with special areas of interest in Women’s Health and Antenatal care. When not working, she thoroughly enjoys spending time with her family, reading, art and theatre, and hiking in the wilderness.

DR. JAN PARKER

Dr Jan Parker graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1980 and completed a Diploma in Obstetrics in the UK in 1985. Her special areas of interest include Women’s Health, Paediatrics and Antenatal Care. She has been offering her specialist GP service in the Waverley area for over 20 years. Outside of medicine her interests include ballet, music, reading and gardening. She is married and has 3 children.

Dr Wendy Barton

Dr Wendy Barton graduated from Monash University in 1981 and completed her Fellowship of General Practice in 1993. In 2023 she was awarded Life Membership of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Wendy has worked in Glen Waverley for over 30 years and enjoys all aspects of General Practice. She has three grown children, and now three grandchildren. She enjoys her family life, following the AFL, traveling and exploring new places.

DR. TAMARA JONES

I am specialist GP, and a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice. I competed my medical degree in 2005 at Monash University in Victoria, and received my FRACGP in 2009. I have a Diploma of Child Health, and a Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health. I am qualified to insert Implanons and IUDs, assist with MTOPs, and to perform Yellow Fever Vaccinations.

I love all aspects of general practice, and my special interests include:

• Contraception, including on-site IUD insertion, cervical screening, pregnancy planning, subfertility, early pregnancy management, 6 week checks for mum and baby, and immunisations.
• Paediatrics & child heath.
• Ear Wax removal by suction or syringing. (Please book via www.earwax.com.au).
• Allergy – management of hayfever and asthma.
• Iron Infusions – performed on-site together with our nursing staff.
• Ingrown Toenail – wedge resections.
• Joint Injections – steroid/cortisone injections for shoulder or hip bursitis, tennis elbow, knee arthritis, and TMJ dysfunction.
• Palliative Care – home visits are available for those unable to travel, and who are also under the care of local palliative care teams.
• Assist with MTOPs.
• Travel Vaccinations including Yellow fever vaccination.

DR. SUDHA PALIT

Dr Sudha Palit graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009 and completed her Fellowship in General Practice in 2015. She loves all areas of general practice in particular children’s health, aged care, mental health, weight management and skin cancer medicine. Sudha has also completed a bachelor in Biomedical Science, advanced skin cancer medicine training  and a Masters in Primary Health Care to complement her passion for evidence based preventative medicine. DR RAGHAV NARA

Dr. Raghav Nara  graduated in 2003 from South India.  He has worked in the  UK before moving to Perth,in 2007. He worked in a variety of surgical roles in WA gaining advanced surgical skills. He did his GP training in Gippsland, Victoria and  completed his Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics in Sale. Dr Raghav has worked extensively in pregnancy care  including delivering babies and performing Caesarean sections. Raghav is accredited to provide shared antenatal care to all the major obstetric hospitals including Monash  Medical and Boxhill Hospital. His interests are women’s health, family planning, sexual health ,children’s, teenage/young people’s health and dermatology. He can perform minor procedures in the clinic including insertion of Mirena/Intra uterine device, Implanon, mole excisions and earwax removal by microsuction. He offers these spelcialised GP services at WaverleyGP. Married with two beautiful daughters and a son, Raghav is a ‘tigers’ supporter and a keen follower of cricket!

DR NISHAN HERATH

Dr Nishan Herath graduated  in 2004, Sri Lanka. He completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016 and enjoys all aspects of General Practice.
Nishan has special interests in Skin cancer medicine, Emergency medicine, Diabetes, Asthma, Cosmetic medicine and Earwax removal by microsuction. He has completed his Diploma of advanced skin cancer medicine in 2017.
He is married and has one son. He is multilingual and is also fluent in Tamil and Sinhalese. He consults at WaverleyGP by appointment.

DR HARPREET SINGH

Dr Harpreet Singh grew up in Western Australia and graduated in 1996 from University of Western Australia. He has consulted with patients  in the Waverley area for over 20 years. His special area of interests include rapid safe weight loss programs, asthma, diabetes and paediatrics. In his spare time he dabbles in photography and likes to play tennis. DR FIONA LAI

Dr Fiona Lai graduated Medicine from the University of Melbourne with first class honours. Prior to specialising in General Practice, she worked in a number of major metropolitan hospitals including The Royal Melbourne Hospital and Western Health.

Fiona enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has a special interest in women’s health, paediatrics, weight management, health check-ups and minor surgical procedures (including skin excisions, Implanon insertions and iron infusions). She has also completed further training in skin cancer medicine. She consults from WaverleyGP and is available by appointment.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and baking.

DR SHINTA TJANDRA

Dr. Tjandra was born in Surabaya, Indonesia and grew up in Jakarta and Singapore. She completed her Masters degree in Paediatrics and Child Health at the University of Melbourne, in 2002. She undertook basic physicians training in Paediatrics and Child Health with Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Melbourne, where she worked extensively for 13 years in major tertiary hospitals including; Royal Children’s Hospital, Royal Women’s Hospital, Monash Medical Centre, as well as in Sunshine, Dandenong, and Casey Hospitals with Monash Health, Box Hill, Maroondah and Angliss Hospitals with Eastern Health.

Her paediatric background includes acute care in newborns and paediatric emergency medicine in hospital setting, as well as continuity of care in the community setting for children and adolescents with chronic health issues, disabilities, allergies, dermatology, developmental and behavioural issues.

She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and enjoys all aspects of General Practice. Her special interests include Paediatrics and Child Health, Family Medicine, Women’s health, Dermatology, Chronic Disease Management, Preventative and Travel Medicine, health check-ups, weight management and minor surgical procedures, including skin excisions, Implanon insertions and iron infusions.

In her spare time Dr. Tjandra enjoys travelling, painting, singing, dancing, songwriting, spending time with her family and serving in her church community.

DR. John Wong

Dr John Wong graduated Medicine with Honours from Monash University. He then trained for several years in adult internal medicine at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, working across various medical specialties including cardiology, endocrinology, and general medicine. He has also worked at The Royal Women’s Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and across the Eastern Health network.

 

John enjoys all aspects of general practice, with particular interests in:

Having grown up in Glen Waverley, John is grateful to now be able to provide care to the local community. John is passionate about working in partnership with patients to achieve their best physical and mental health, as he firmly believes that living well now can determine your health later in life. In his spare time, John enjoys running, playing basketball, and spending time with family.

DR. Luke Oh

Dr. Luke Oh graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2011 and completed a Diploma in Child Health through the University of Sydney in 2012. He spent his junior doctor years gaining a broad range of medical expertise, including formal adult physician training and paediatric training, before finding his passion in general practice. He offers his service at WaverleyGP – please book online or call the clinic.

His special areas of interest include Men’s Health, Paediatrics, and Mental Health. He grew up in and continues to live in the Waverley area and is excited to be able to care for his local community.

Outside of medicine, his interests include playing guitar, piano, and singing, gardening, and tinkering with tech. He is married and enjoys spending time with his 2 young children.

DR JANICE QUACH

Dr Janice Quach graduated Medicine from the University of Tasmania with clinical distinction. She worked in Launceston then moved back to Melbourne to be closer to family. She then went on to work in several hospitals through Eastern Health before specialising in General Practice. She also has a Diploma in Child Health.

Janice consults in all aspects of general practice, with a special interest in paediatrics, women’s health and weight management. She is also able to perform minor procedures like implanon insertions, iron infusions and ear wax removal through suction or syringe.  She is offering her services at WaverleyGP and is available by appointment.

DR MONIKA PATEL

Dr Monika Patel has been practising as a GP since 1995 and in Australia since 2005 and is interested in all aspects of General Practice. Dr Patel has a Certificate in Cosmetic Dermal Medicine from the Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science. She has a special interest in non-surgical rejuvenation of the face with Botox, Dermal fillers, Microhydrabrasion, Chemical Peels and Skin Needling.
