Waverley Practice Management services (trading as Waverley GP – ABN 37 221 925 071)  employs an experienced and talented team of secretarial, nursing and administration staff to provide GP’s Specialists and Allied Practitioners support to conduct their business under one roof.

We provide the facilities, IT support, administration, nursing staff, and equipment  that enable healthcare practitioners—including General Practitioners (GPs), Specialists, Psychologists, and Allied Health Professionals—to deliver high-quality medical care to their patients.  Our goal is to create a supportive environment that allows healthcare professionals to focus on providing quality care while we handle the operational and logistical aspects.

The independent tenant practitioners have chosen to conduct their private medical practice at Waverley GP and Waverley Consulting Suites and stipulate their own hours of work, fees and conditions of service to you. There may be variations in fees and services they provide to patients and may also be operating from other locations. Please speak to your practitioner directly about their alternate locations and  the specific services they provide.

Your medical records may be held securely in our central database or be held directly by the Doctor or allied practitioner. Please speak to them at your consultation about their practices in this regard.

All practitioners trade under their own registered business name and ABN.

The clinic is   open 7 days a week from 8am-6pm weekdays, 9am to 1pm on Saturdays and Phone/Video consults 9am to 1pm on Sundays. The after hours clinic runs on Tuesday 6pm to 8pm.  Timings may change according to your Doctor availability.

As a private billing clinic a Gap fee is usually payable to your practitioner. The receptionist is able to process Medicare claims and can automatically arrange for the Medicare rebate to be paid to you on the day. Please note that routine childhood vaccines for birth to 5 yrs are Bulk Billed by the Doctors.

APPOINTMENTS

The easiest way for you to see your doctor is to make an appointment. Doctors make every effort to see appointments as close to time as possible, unavoidable delays can occur when our doctors must attend to a patient with complex or serious medical conditions.
If you are unable to attend your appointment please notify the reception staff at least 3 hours before your appointment time.

Some consultations may require a longer appointment for things such as insurance/pre-employment medicals or you may have problems that need more time to discuss. Please inform the receptionist when booking if you may require an extended appointment.

It is best to see the doctor of your choice to ensure continuity of care and the establishment of a professional relationship.

SURGICAL PROCEDURES

To ensure the health and safety of our patients, all instruments used in procedures are sterile, disposable
instruments that may incur a small fee.

REMINDER SYSTEM

The practitioners are committed to preventative care. They may issue you with a reminder notice offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care. We use HOTDOC for reminders and recalls – SMS or letters may be sent to you by your doctor. HotDoc is secure and widely used in Australia to facilitate communication between you and your doctor.

PRIVACY POLICY

The practice is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your personal health information. Your medical records are confidential. It is the policy of the practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times to ensure that this information is only available to authorized members of staff. TEST RESULTS

All test results are checked by your doctor. Most results are back with your doctor within 72 hours. Unless otherwise advised all patients are asked to make an appointment to discuss results with their doctor. This ensures your confidentiality and the appropriate action for your result. A normal result may not mean that no further action is necessary. Your results may also be available on  your My Health Record. Please book an appointment with your doctor to discuss any results – phone consults are also available.

EMERGENCIES

Priority treatment is given to seriously ill or injured patients. The doctors are able to deal with most emergencies and trauma. Please notify the receptionist on arrival.

AFTER HOURS ARRANGEMENTS

When your doctor is not available, you may choose to see another onsite practitioner. After hours care is also available form locum services. Please ring 9429 5677, if you need to contact a doctor after hours. Home visits if medically needed may be available by prior arrangement with your doctor. Unless agreed to by your doctor, you must be a regular patient of theirs and live within a 3km radius of the clinic.

HEALTH PROMOTION AND VACCINATION

The doctors offer comprehensive health assessments, diabetes education and antenatal shared care. They have undergone additional training in skin cancer diagnosis and management. The full complement of childhood and travel vaccinations are available.  The doctors have yellow fever accreditation  Please ask the receptionist for further information.
