Dr John Wong graduated Medicine with Honours from Monash University. He then trained for several years in adult internal medicine at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, working across various medical specialties including cardiology, endocrinology, and general medicine. He has also worked at The Royal Women’s Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and across the Eastern Health network.

John enjoys all aspects of general practice, with particular interests in:

• Cardiovascular disease
• Diabetes management
• General health check-ups
• Complex medical diseases (including kidney, lung, and endocrine diseases)
• Men’s health
• Travel medicine
• Minor skin procedures (Certificate of Practical Dermoscopy, Australasian College of Dermatologists)
• Children’s health (Diploma in Child Health, The University of Sydney)

Having grown up in Glen Waverley, John is grateful to now be able to provide care to the local community. John is passionate about working in partnership with patients to achieve their best physical and mental health, as he firmly believes that living well now can determine your health later in life. In his spare time, John enjoys running, playing basketball, and spending time with family.
