Expansion of Health Dept Immunisation program to refugees.


From 1 July 2017, all individuals aged 10 to 19 years are eligible to receive free catch-up vaccinations through an expansion to the National Immunisation Program.

This includes Refugees and humanitarian entrants to Australia.

The policy covers measles, mumps, meningococcal, polio, whooping cough, chickenpox, and HPV.

The expansion also offers free catch-up vaccines for refugees and other humanitarian entrants aged 20 years and over as well.

The policy cover tetanus, pertussis, measles, mumps, rubella,  hep B and chicken pox vaccines.

All refugees are reminded to bring along any vaccine records including Australian government detention, or departure health check records as your vaccines may already be up to date.
